HCSA reports with great sadness that former Chairman Peter Wragg has passed on.
Peter was HCSA Chairman from November 1986 to November 1988 and passed away peacefully on Tuesday the 4th of November.
Close friend Malcolm Littlewood said: “Peter made a significant contribution to the work of the Association over the years and always encouraged his staff to join and take an active role in the HCSA.
When Peter rashly offered me a job in Supplies at Barnsley HA in 1976 little did I know that it would result in a friendship that lasted almost 50 years and I know that he will be greatly missed by friends and colleagues in the NHS Procurement family.”
HCSA Chairman Mark Roscrow added: “I am saddened to hear the news of Peter’s passing. He was a huge advocate of HCSA and did much to support the organisation over the years and was one of the key supporters during tougher times for the organisation. I am grateful for the support and wise words he showed to me once I became Chairman. He will be greatly missed and my condolences to his family.”
The thoughts of everyone at HCSA are with Peter’s family and friends at this time.
