As we step into a new year, I want to take a moment to recognise the strength, generosity, and resilience that define our community of women across NHS procurement and supply chain. Every conversation, every shared insight, every moment of support has helped build a network where we lift each other higher.
Our theme for the year ahead—Give to Gain—captures something powerful and supports the 2026 International Women’s theme. It reminds us that when we give our time, our knowledge, our encouragement, or simply our presence, we don’t lose anything. We grow. We gain confidence, connection, perspective, and a stronger collective voice.
In a system as vital and complex as the NHS, collaboration isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. And when women support women, and our allies sponsor and support us, the impact multiplies. This year, I hope we continue to:
And in return, we will gain a network that is even more vibrant, inclusive, and empowering.
Thank you for everything you contributed last year—your energy, your honesty, your presence, your leadership, and your willingness to show up for one another. I’m excited for what we will build together in the months ahead.
Here’s to a year of giving generously, gaining collectively, and continuing to shape a future where all of us in procurement and supply chain thrive.
Wishing you all a hopeful, healthy, and inspiring New Year.
Tracey

We promote the work of procurement and supply chain staff at all levels in healthcare and provide training events, educational seminars, awards and two high-profile annual conferences.
Our latest initiative is our Women’s Network which is the very first national organisation dedicated to women in healthcare procurement.
The HCSA Women in Procurement & Supply Chain Network (Women’s Network) has been created to celebrate the achievements of women in Procurement and Supply Chain in the NHS/Healthcare.

The network supports diversity, inclusion and gender balance, supporting equal opportunity and participation at all levels and in all aspects.
On May 25th 2023 the Women's Network held a hugely successful inaugural event in Regent's Park London. You can read the event brochure here and see the conference video below.
