Twenty-two passengers from the MV Hondius cruise ship have been quarantining at Merseyside's Arrowe Park Hospital accommodation block.
Passengers arrived on Sunday night and were due to spend 72 hours in the block, which is situated separately from the main hospital building. The drivers of both coaches and other personnel on board were spotted wearing masks and blue personal protective equipment (PPE).
The passengers themselves were also seen wearing masks, and the coaches were accompanied by a police escort, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The very same facility at Arrowe Park served as the original Covid isolation site back in 2020, when 93 Britons were repatriated to the UK from Wuhan, China.
