Several trusts in the South West are being asked to restrict all non-essential spending due to their “challenging financial position”, HSJ reports.
The providers have been told to deliver “recurrent reductions in workforce cost pressures”, end almost all in- and outsourcing, and impose a hiring freeze for non-clinical posts.
