HCSA is looking for members from across the NHS procurement and commercial community to contribute their knowledge, experience, and real-world insight to the continuing development of commercial learning and development content.
We want to ensure that learning is grounded in the reality of working within the NHS. This means bringing subject matter to life throughreal people, practical experience, examples, and case studies from across our profession.
We are therefore seeking expressions of interest from members with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Clinical Products
Goods used directly in the delivery of patient care, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, rehabilitation, or prevention of disease. We are looking for approximately 2–3 SMEs.
Digital Products
Technology solutions including software, cloud services, digital platforms, and healthcare IT systems. AI is not in scope. Approximately 3–5 SMEs.
Healthcare Services
Services delivered for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care, rehabilitation, or support of patients. Commissioning is not in scope. Approximately 3–5 SMEs.
Estates and Construction
The planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation and management of healthcare buildings, infrastructure, engineering systems, facilities, and the built environment. Approximately 2–3 SMEs.
People Services
Services supporting the recruitment, management, development, deployment, and wellbeing of the workforce. Approximately 1–2 SMEs.
Managed Services
Arrangements where a supplier takes responsibility for delivering and managing an agreed service outcome. Approximately 3–5 SMEs.
What would be involved?
We anticipate the commitment being around 8–10 hours over approximately three months, including:
- A 1–2-hour virtual scoping workshop in mid-September.
- Up to one hour every other week during September, October, and November to provide expertise, experience, and insight to inform content development.
- Occasional virtual discussions or offline review to help understand comments and refine content.
- Sharing appropriate examples, experiences and case studies that can help bring the learning to life.
- You don't need to be a trainer or course designer. We're looking for people who know their subject, understand the NHS environment and are willing to share their practical experience.
HCSA recognises the commitment involved in supporting this important work and will work with participating members and their organisations to ensure they are appropriately supported in making their contribution.
This is a great opportunity to help influence and shape learning for the wider NHS commercial and procurement profession and ensure that the content reflects the challenges, experience, and good practice of those working in these areas every day.
