HCSA Chairman Mark Roscrow was delighted to attend the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) conference in Anaheim, US, at the invitation of organisers.
AHRMM have long been represented at HCSA conferences by Karen Conway and it was a great opportunity to strengthen relations between the two organisations by having our chairman attend.
The conference covered many shared areas of concern for AHRMM and HCSA members including healthcare value analysis, supply chain resilience, staff recruitment and sustainability – where our Chairman was able to outline initiatives aimed at tackling this in the UK, where we are seen as further ahead in tackling the issue.
Mark also attended an invitation only senior executive session on requirements for procurement and supply chain professionals moving forward.
Mark Roscrow said: “Attending the AHRMM conference was a great way to strengthen the bond between our organisations, pick up potential ideas for HCSA events back home and learn about current thinking and issues in our sister community across the water. There is clearly plenty of scope for us to work together and make both organisations stronger as we continue to progress.”
A comprehensive report on the event has been shared with HCSA Chief Exec Keith Rowley, the HCSA senior team and Trustees to consider the wide-ranging themes of the conference.
