This year’s recipients of the annual HCSA Awards were announced at a Gala Dinner at the Telford International Centre on Thursday night (14 November).
The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award honoured two people this year in former HCSA Events Lead Kath Ibbotson and Alyson Brett, CEO at NHS Commercial Solutions.
They received their awards from HCSA Chairman Mark Roscrow MBE and HCSA Trustee Simon Walsh.
Mark Roscrow said: “It was a pleasure to join Simon Walsh in presenting the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Awards at the HCSA Gala dinner. The two recipients Alyson Brett and Kath Ibbotson were very worthy winners and share many superb attributes. They have both dedicated a substantial portion of their working lives to procurement within the NHS and always shown a great willingness to help and support their staff as they have developed and improved every team they looked after.
They also share a passion for innovation and continuous improvement and have worked collaboratively to set up strong networks both inside and outside the system with the ultimate goal of improving patient care. Their enthusiasm and professionalism will always remain a model to others.”
Congratulations to everyone who received an award this year and many thanks to all who put forth nominations in what was another very difficult year for the judges due to the calibre of submissions.
