Business Services Organisation (BSO) graduate trainee Beth Brown has been talking about her experience to date at the organisation.
Beth is currently a Graduate Management Trainee in Logistics within BSO Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS).
She started at BSO in 2020 as PA to the Director of Operations and Customer Care and Performance before moving to work in Family Practitioners Service for a short while until starting her Graduate Management Trainee scheme in PaLS Logistics. Beth said: “Working for the Chief Executive’s Office of BSO gave me a very diverse and interesting view of all areas within the service as well as what was going on within the organisation.
The exposure I had to board meetings and high-level decisions that were taking place led me to wanting to progress in my career with BSO and to get involved in an operational capacity. I have a passion for Northern Ireland’s health sector and I want to see change in how our service supports the local population. To me the only way to do this was to get involved.”
Day to day Beth is involved in multiple areas of logistics from supporting the staff on the warehouse floor to planning how to develop health and wellbeing for our staff in PaLS.
She could be working with outside suppliers to enhance systems or helping move racking in the warehouse to make it more efficient for pickers.
She added: “The graduate scheme has given me confidence in my own skills and has helped me to embrace my own way of problem solving to get the best out of staff and myself in the process. I am thrilled to say I am a part of BSO and specifically PaLS and hope to be for a long time to come.”
