Great Place To Work (GPTW), the global authority on workplace culture, has today revealed its UK Best Workplaces™ list, and NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) has been recognised as one of the UK’s best.

NHS SBS attained a ranking of 27 among the Super Large Organisations list of 50, up from 38 in 2023.

To determine 2024’s UK Best Workplaces™, Great Place To Work®, performed a rigorous evaluation of NHS SBS employee survey responses alongside a Culture Audit™ submissions from the organisation’s leaders.

The data insights gathered were used to benchmark the effectiveness of the organisation’s employee value propositions against the culture NHS SBS employees actually experience.

Only those businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.

The insights gathered from latest survey show NHS SBS employees feel the organisation is a great place to work because they understand how they contribute to the overall business objectives, are treated fairly, feel supported by their line managers and are made to feel welcome when they join the organisation.

Erika Bannerman, Managing Director of NHS SBS said: “We’re delighted with the results and so proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s best workplaces with our best ever ranking in the super large organisations category. Our employees make NHS SBS what it is, and I want to thank each and every one of them for helping to make this a workplace where people come first, where we celebrate our differences, and where we create opportunities for all. For us, being a great place to work is a continuous journey, and we’re always looking for the next steps. I recognise there is still more to do and am committed to keep building on the progress we are making together. Our Great Place To Work journey continues.”
