This year's categories:
HCSA Procurement/Supply Chain Team of the Year Award
This award recognises achievement in a number of complementary areas in delivering excellence to the NHS stakeholder organisation(s) which it serves, demonstrating some or all of the following:
o Customer service excellence
o Delivery of financial and other benefits
o Development and adoption of good practice
o People development and succession planning
o Peer to peer recognition and/or collaboration, sharing of best practice
o Collaboration with NHS, private, public and third sector organisations
o Strategic focus
Nominations for this award are not restricted to members of the Association and can be made on behalf of anyone working at any level in the health care purchasing and supply function. The nomination must be proposed by a member of the Association.
HCSA Cross Functional Collaboration Award
This award will recognise the NHS procurement/supply chain management team and its partner organisation (private or public sector) which through the development of a collaborative partnership can demonstrate some or all of the following:
o Efficiency gains that are quantifiable in real cash terms
o Tangible service improvement benefits
o Key characteristics of this successful collaboration
o Innovative and sustainable attributes developed through the partnership
o Transferability and ease of adoption by other partnerships within the NHS
o Measures taken to successfully engage NHS stakeholders within the customer organisation
o Ability to roll-out across other categories/departments Nominations for this award are not restricted to members of the Association and can be made on behalf of anyone working at any level in the health care purchasing and supply function. The nomination must be proposed by a member of the Association.
HCSA Procurement Excellence Award
This award recognises someone who has consistently performed their role in health care purchasing and supply to a level of excellence. This might include one or a number of the following:
o Delivered or helped to deliver significant improvement in their organisation and/or profession
o Has been highly innovative in performing their role
o Has widespread and acknowledged peer recognition in striving for and achieving excellence in organisational and/or professional development
o Has delivered or helped to deliver significant savings or other efficiencies through their own initiative and/or exceptional dedication
o Has demonstrated outstanding ability to lead an organisation, a project or a team
o Has championed Social Value, Sustainability and or focused on enviromental areas to enhance and improve outcomes for all
o Has demonstrated exceptional progress or commitment to improving their own professionalism or that of colleagues in their own organisation
o Has developed and established excellent relationships within their own organisation or between their own organisation and others, leading to demonstrable benefits
o Demonstrates the ability to manage under extreme pressure

HCSA Logistics Excellence Award
This award recognises someone/or team within an organisation who has consistently performed their role in health care logistics to a level of excellence. This must include at least three of the following:
o Delivered or helped to deliver significant improvement in their organisation and/or profession
o Has been highly innovative in performing their role
o Has widespread and acknowledged peer recognition in striving for and achieving excellence in organisational and/or professional development
o Has delivered or helped to deliver significant savings or other efficiencies through their own initiative and/or exceptional dedication
o Has demonstrated outstanding ability to lead an organisation, a project or a team
o Has championed Social Value, Sustainability and or focused on enviromental areas to enhance and improve outcomes for all
o Has demonstrated exceptional progress or commitment to improving their own professionalism or that of colleagues in their own organisation
o Has developed and established excellent relationships within their own organisation or between their own organisation and others, leading to demonstrable benefits

HCSA Clinical Procurement in Partnership Award
This award recognises an individual or team who has introduced a new innovation project/change in practice or product into their organisaton resulting in significant improved patient outcomes, clinical engagement and supplier relationships. The individual or team must demonstrate how they have transformed business/clinical practice through implementing collaboration/engagement to implement change.
Your submission should be able to demonstrate as many of the following as possible where applicable:
o How the project has resulted in new ways of working to improve patient outcomes, supplier relationships
o The purpose, aims and objectives of the initiative and why it was implemented
o Impact and results the approach has achieved which could include:
o effects on productivity
o efficiencies
o cost savings or value based outcomes
o culture change /changes in working practice
o improved patient outcomes increased clinical engagement
o Social Value, Sustainability and environmental improvements
o How you plan to develop or sustain the work
HCSA Unsung Hero Award
ThiS Award recognises the efforts of an individual who has made a substantive and consistent contribution to a project or as part their everyday work, often going above and beyond to deliver.
Nominations for this award are not restricted to members of the HCSA and can be made on behalf of anyone working at any level in the health care purchasing and supply function. The nomination must be proposed by a member of the HCSA.
The submission should outline why this individual in considered to have gone above and beyond their job role, how that impacts on the wider team/organisation, any feedback from the wider team/organisation that has recognised the additional contributions made.
Submissions should clearly outline what tasks have been undertaken by the nominee which make this candidate stand out from other members of the team. This may include taking on additional tasks and responsibilities, working smarter/differently to deliver to improvements to the organisation which have then been recognised as excellent ideas and implemented wider.
HCSA Procurement & Supply Chain Leader Award
This award recognises a leader at any level a future leader/aspiring candidate or someone that has an innovative way of working or leading by example. They can be at start, midst or final years of career consistently performing their role in health care purchasing and supply to a level of excellence. This might include one or several of the following:
o Positive impact on others and the world around them leaving a legacy of success
o Great communication, enthusiasm, and problem-solving skills
o Promotions or activities above and beyond role
o Specific successful projects, outcomes or areas of focus
o Inclusive non judgemental open to all views
o Represents the profession with pride
o Leading with brilliance, purpose and passion
o Leads and lifts others to achieve excellence
o Creativity, vision and integrity in their character
o Setting the pace for themselves and others
