What are you most proud of?

My girls, Talia and Stephanie. It has been a wonderful journey (with bumps) watching them grow into strong, independent, and accomplished young women with families and careers of their own. And the launch of the HCSA Women in Procurement & Supply Chain Network - onwards and upwards!

What makes you angry?

Drivers not using their indicators! After all, it's free to use them! It's really more frustration than anger, but drives me crazy!

What sports team do you support (if any)?

South Africa International Rugby team. Having lived in Africa for over 35 years, it’s hard not to be a huge rugby and cricket fan!

Which famous person would you most like to meet and why?

Richard Gere, apart from the fact that he's drop dead gorgeous. There's so much to talk to him about. He's a musician, song writer, actor, and humanitarian. What more would I want other than a comfy sofa, warm fire, and a glass of vino!

What superpower would you most like to have and why?

Teleportation - that way I could spend more time with family & friends, including those overseas. I'd get to see more countries, get more things done at work and have more time doing my charity work. 2 or 3 hours in a car is just wasted production time ?

What historical figure do you most admire and why?

Maya Angelou. Having read her autobiographies and published works, she is a true inspiration. A woman so wise and empowering, but also unassuming and humble. I think I could have sat and talked with her for days on end about her life, my life. The world she lived in and the world as it is today. That would be quite something!

What’s your perfect weekend?

Camping in the countryside or in the African bush with family, friends. Being outdoors with sunrises, sunsets, children playing, camp fires and BBQs, laughter and sing-alongs.

What’s your favourite meal?

Shellfish & pasta (Italian) - oh and my husband does a mean BBQ.

Can you describe yourself in one word?

Tenacious

What do you hope to be doing 5 years from now?

Continuing to grow, learn and experience new things and visit new places. I don't ever want to stop! Seeing the success of our colleagues in the network and continuing to grow from strength to strength.
