It was a memorable night on the Thames as HCSA held a 65th Anniversary event with over 170 attendees in the Cholmondeley Room at the House of Lords.

The evening saw speeches from HCSA Patron Lord Philip Hunt of Kings Heath OBE PC, HCSA Chairman Mark Roscrow MBE and HCSA President Matthew Swindells while former DHSC Commercial Director and current OFGEM COO Melinda Johnson was made an honorary HCSA member.

Melinda said: “I am incredibly humbled by the honorary membership of HCSA, a community of dedicated and expert procurement professionals that I have always held in the highest regard. I was warmly welcomed into the community when I first joined the DHSC and experienced many valuable visits to friends in the trusts as well as enjoying the HCSA's brilliant events. It is a wonderful gift to know that I can remain part of the HCSA into the future.”

Mark Roscrow added: “I was delighted to present Melinda with the HCSA Honorary membership medal at the recent 65th celebration event in the House of Lords . Melinda has been a strong supporter of the organisation over many years and has remained in touch with us since moving to her current position.”

The evening’s speeches also recognised Myles O’Hagan and Gerard Kearney who are retiring from BSO PaLS later this year after completing a total of almost 80 years service between them.

HCSA would like to thank everyone who attended the House of Lords event to celebrate our 65th anniversary and in particular Lord Philip Hunt who made the evening possible.
