A team from KFM had a site visit at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) last week where colleagues shared their approach to managing physical records across UHB’s multiple sites.
Andrew Clarke, KFM’s Head of Contracts said: “I was hugely impressed by the maturity of the warehousing and logistics operation at University Hospitals Birmingham. The visit has given us several ideas to take forward in our own warehouse capacity. Not only from the benefits of having sufficient space to purchase in bulk, freeing up space within the hospital setting but from the use of robotic systems to drive efficiencies. It was also valuable to exchange ideas on operational improvements and explore how we might collaborate and work more sustainably.”
In addition, KFM has announced to two key appointments with Neil Routledge joining as Director of Procurement from Health Trust Europe and Jaymin Shah taking on the role of Director of Supply Chain from HCSA, starting on Monday 18 August.
