On Wednesday the Cholmondeley Room and terrace at the House of Lords was the setting for a evening of celebration and reflection for NHS procurement and supply chain professionals throughout the UK.
The evening began with HCSA President the Lord Philip Hunt of Kings Heath PC OBE and Chairman Mark Roscrow MBE giving they’re thanks to all in attendance and all who could not attend for their work over the last few years.
A diverse range of 160 procurement professionals and suppliers were represented but limited places meant only a fraction of those who did magnificent work across the NHS in support of COVID and throughout their careers could attend. However, everyone was remembered on the night and those we lost from the procurement family over the last two years.
HCSA Chief Officer Keith Rowley said: “This was a wonderful occasion to celebrate the extraordinary commitment of NHS procurement professionals during the most challenging period of their careers. We are indebted to Lord Hunt for the invitation.”
The event was a fitting accompaniment to Lord Hunt’s 2020 HCSA President’s Award which he gave to all NHS procurement and supply chain professionals across the country for their work during COVID.
Lord Hunt added: “It was a great honour to welcome just a selection of the brilliant NHS procurement professionals who have worked so hard over the last two years to the House of Lords to recognise their work and commitment in a fitting venue for their achievements. It was a true privilege to share the room with so many extraordinary people.
